December 12, 2017

The City Council held its first public hearing  to solicit input regarding the composition of the districts prior to drawing the draft maps. Click to view the Meeting Video.

Wednesday, January 17th (Regular Council Meeting)

The City Council will hold its second public hearing  to solicit input regarding the composition of the districts prior to drawing the draft maps. Click to view the Public Hearing Notice and/or the Staff Report in English or Spanish.

January 22nd deadline

Last day for the public to submit initial proposed draft maps.

January 24th posting deadline

All initial draft maps for consideration at the January 31st Council Public Hearing will be posted to this website and available at city hall.

Council holds third public hearing at special Council meeting to solicit input regarding the content of the draft maps and the proposed sequence of elections.

Wednesday, February 21st  (Regular Council Meeting)

Council holds sixth public hearing at regular Council meeting for public input on the final map and takes action to select a map, assign election years to districts, and introduce Ordinance making the change to by-district elections.

Wednesday, March 7th  (Regular Council Meeting)

Council conducts 2nd reading and final adoption of Ordinance changing from at-large to district-based elections.

Three districts hold their first by-district elections.

November, 2020

Remaining two districts hold their first by-district elections.
